founder Dr. Max Fischer developed the world's first ski wax - according to the principles that have driven HOLMENKOL for over 100 years: high performance and easy to use. In addition to ski wax, the portfolio now includes impregnations, detergents, coatings and polishes for all types of outdoor, bike and winter sports.

In-house expertise is important to us, it is our basis for going our own independent way. HOLMENKOL's in-house laboratory is constantly on the lookout for active ingredients that improve our products. The focus here is on developing our own raw materials. The ISO-certified production facility near Münster ensures short delivery routes.

Our mission

At HOLMENKOL, sustainability does not end with the formulation of the products. The environmental cycle starts with production. The use of green electricity and the company's own photovoltaic system ensure low energy consumption. We work every day to further reduce our consumption of energy, water and waste.

Natural Skiwax - 24/7

HOLMENKOL places high demands on the packaging of its products. In future, plastic packaging will increasingly consist of recycled material. This is plastic material that has already undergone at least one processing step. Since 2019, HOLMENKOL has been the world's first eco-certified ski wax manufacturer. The new formulas used in the Natural Ski Wax line are based on sugar cane material. This is an upcycled material from the sugar industry that is cleaned and processed before use. Natural raw materials based on rice and beeswax are also used. For the 23/24 season, the Natural Skiwax Bar comes in uncoated paper packaging for the first time, which can be disposed of as waste paper.
